Hi everyone.

It was a good meeting Wednesday 18th, Each of us talking about how we became interested in the spiritual, how it has affected our lives and our reasons for attending the group. We also made a list of all the subjects we would be interested in covering for meetings in the future.

A reminder that Ka Ta Rang´s two previous meetings are available via email let me know if you want copies. The most recent, coming soon, has been typed but will be proof read before being available.

I will sign off and leave you with a poem from Joan, found on Facebook.

Love to all, Jan.x🌻

THE CLIMB

They say that when you’re broken

This is how the light gets in

But what if all the cracks

Are letting out the light within?

They say it makes you stronger

But at first it makes you weak

The way you face the mountain base

Before you reach the peak

They say to break is brave

And yet your mind is full of dread

You’re not overwhelmed by courage

But by helplessness instead

But admitting you are breaking

Is far braver than you know

And remember, from the bottom

There is just one way to go

See, I think they mean it isn’t just

That breaking makes you strong

But the way you use the embers

Of your will to carry on

It’s triumph over trauma

And it’s healing after hurt

It’s rising from the ashes

With a new-found sense of worth

So find yourself a candle

And allow its tiny spark

To ignite you back to life

And put the fire back in your heart

And grant yourself compassion

For the times that you feel weak

Just rest until you’re strong enough

To get back on your feet

Yes, I know that when you’re broken

You have only threads of hope

But tie them to the mountain

Like your personal safety rope

Then gather at the bottom

With the summit high above

Then take a breath and take a step

The only way is up

Hello everyone.

Well, we have proof that the rain doesn't stay mainly on the plain. I hope your homes and gardens have all survived the storms of late.

Yesterday´s meeting was well attended and extremely interesting. Ka Ta Rang (Carl´s guide) spoke to us through Carl and gave us a wonderful afternoon of philosophy and a very interesting question and answer section with a few minutes of sitting quietly together before closing down, a most enjoyable, educational and interesting afternoon.

I will let you know when the transcript of the recording from yesterday´s meeting is available. In the meantime if you would like copies of the two previous visits by Ka Ta Rang let me know.

You will remember the meeting on 6th September with Carien, below see the link for an event in October. (details also on our website and FB soon)

--------------------------------------

During the question and answer section of yesterday´s meeting Ka Ta Rang told us that our planet Earth is sad and that it is down to the people of the world to help save her. I clicked on a web page just by chance and found the following four interesting statements, which you will see are relevant .... and all written many years ago.

Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's need, but not every man's greed.—Mohandas K. Gandhi

---------------------------------

Our task must be to free ourselves ... by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty.—Albert Einstein

--------------------------------------

We have forgotten how to be good guests, how to walk lightly on the earth as its other creatures do.—Barbara Ward (1972.)

------------------------------

Scientists may depict the problems that will affect the environment based on available evidence, but their solution is not the responsibility of scientists but of society as a whole. Mario Molina (1943- ).

So, perhaps we should have more love for ourselves, for others and for planet Earth - our home, not necessarily in that order.

Enjoy the rest of the week and the weekend,

Love to all,

Jan. x🌻
